The latest Burkina Faso terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of 28 and injured 56 others highlight the imminent threat of World War 3. This, on top of the tension between the two Korean nations and the ISIS threat all point to a potential global war ahead.
Islamist terrorists attacked a luxurious hotel in Burkina Faso on Friday night shooting some and taking others as hostages in a siege that lasted hours.
Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) claimed responsibility for the assault at the Splendid Hotel, popular among foreigners in the capital, Ouagadougou, according to BBC.
Burkinabe Security Minister Simon Compoare said security forces entered the hotel early Saturday and freed 176 hostages, half of whom were hospitalised. At least four attackers died in the assaults while there were claims that some of those involved were women. The attackers also targeted the Cappuccino café across the street and another hotel nearby.
